This page explains how to delete your account and your data from Oro AI Agent (the "Service"), operated by Oro Shin ("Oro", "we", "us"). It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Where these terms refer to "you", they mean the person or business using the Service.
1. What this page is for
You can ask us to delete your account and the data we hold about you at any time. This page sets out the three ways a deletion can start: from inside the app, by email, or automatically when you remove Oro from your Facebook or Instagram settings. It then explains exactly what we delete, what we are required to keep and why, and how long the process takes.
It is also the page Meta directs you to when a deletion is started from Facebook or Instagram. When you arrive here from that link, a confirmation code is shown at the top of this page so that you have a reference for the request.
2. Delete your account in the app
The most direct way to delete your data is from inside the Oro AI Agent app. Open the app, go to your profile, open account settings, and choose to delete your account. You will be asked to confirm before the deletion is carried out. Confirming starts the same permanent deletion described in section 5, and this cannot be undone.
3. Request deletion by email
If you cannot use the app, you can ask us by email. Write to support@oroaiagent.com from the email address on your account, and tell us you want your data deleted. Sending the request from your account email lets us identify the account and confirm the request is yours. If you send it from a different address, we may ask you for more detail before we act, so that we do not delete the wrong account.
4. Removing Oro from Facebook or Instagram
If you remove the Oro AI Agent app from your Facebook or Instagram settings, Meta sends us a data deletion request on your behalf. You do not need to send us anything separately: receiving that request starts the same deletion described in section 5.
When we handle a request from Meta, we generate a confirmation code and hand it back to Meta along with a link to this page. Following that link opens this page with the code shown at the top, so you can note it and, if you ever need to, quote it when you ask us about the status of the request. The code identifies the request; it is not a password and does not need to be kept secret.
5. What we delete
However the deletion starts, we permanently remove the data we hold about you and your business, including:
- your account and profile;
- the access tokens for every channel you connected, so the agent can no longer act on any of them;
- your agent configuration and the knowledge it was given about your business;
- your product catalogue;
- your conversation history and the agent's reply history;
- media we stored on your behalf; and
- any model provider key you added under Bring Your Own Key.
Messages, comments and posts that the agent already delivered to a platform live on that platform, not with us. We cannot remove them from Facebook, Instagram or any other channel on your behalf; to take those down, use the tools that platform provides.
6. What we keep, and why
We keep the smallest amount of data the law requires us to keep, and nothing beyond that for the sake of it. In practice this means billing and tax records for payments you made, and any other records we are legally obliged to retain. These are kept because tax, accounting and other laws require us to be able to show that a transaction took place; deleting them would put us in breach of those laws.
We retain these records only for as long as the tax, accounting and other laws that apply to us require, and no longer than that. Once that period ends, the remaining records are deleted. Data kept in this way is not used to run the Service for you after your account is gone.
7. How long deletion takes
Access to the account ends as soon as the deletion is confirmed. We then complete the permanent removal of the data described in section 5 within 30 days of receiving the request. The records we are legally required to keep, described in section 6, are the only exception, and they are deleted once their required retention period ends.
8. Disconnecting a single channel
You do not have to delete your whole account to stop the agent working on one channel. In the app you can disconnect an individual channel, such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or any other connection you added. Disconnecting a channel removes the access token for that channel and stops the agent from acting on it, while your account, your other connected channels and the rest of your data stay in place. This is the right choice when you want to step back from one platform but keep using Oro elsewhere.
9. How to contact us
If you have questions about deleting your data, or about the status of a request, contact us at support@oroaiagent.com. If your request came from Facebook or Instagram, quoting the confirmation code shown at the top of this page helps us find it quickly.
